The Lancer will be available as a saloon or an estate with prices ranging from £9,999 to £11,999.
Two petrol engines will be offered: a 96bhp 1.6-litre and a 133bhp 2.0-litre, with a choice of Equippe or Elegance trim levels on the 1.6 model. Estate models cost £500 more than saloons, while the 2.0 litre is only available as an estate in Sport specification.
Standard equipment includes alloy wheels, metallic paint, air conditioning, CD player, remote central locking, colour-keyed electrically-adjustable and heated door mirrors, front fog lights, height adjustable driver’s seat, 60/40 split back rest and rear adjustable headrests.
Both the Lancer estate and saloon get a distinctive colour-keyed rear spoiler. The range-topping 2.0-litre Lancer Sport estate gains 16-inch alloy wheels, a Momo three-spoke leather wrapped steering wheel, sports seats, CD auto-changer, a new grille and lowered suspension.
