BCA's Commercial Auction View is the first dedicated commercial vehicle auction stock locator to be launched and is already generating additional buying power for fleet operators selling commercial vehicles (www.commercialauctionview.co.uk) Commercial Auction View has made a strong contribution to BCA's success in the last weeks of 2003, with customers using the service to locate and travel to buy specific vehicles and follow certain sale brands.
The all-new service went live in November 2003 and is being widely used by potential buyers to locate the vehicles they need. With this unique product, customers can search online for commercial vehicles by make, model, specification, location or even age throughout BCA's network with catalogue information displayed and often a picture of the actual vehicle for sale. There is even a word search function allowing prospective buyers to search for 'tippers', 'tautliners' or 'hi-abs' for example.
The latest sale catalogues can be downloaded and the whole system is updated regularly as new stock is entered onto BCA's database. The service is available to everyone and is free of charge.
Commercial Auction View has six specialist sections to help potential buyers quickly locate the product type they want.
Light Commercials regularly features around 2,000 vehicles from car-derived vans, to panel vans, tippers, chassis cabs and specially equipped vehicles.
Heavy Commercials features all 'over the weight' vehicles - tractor units, boxes, curtainsiders and trailers.
Plant & Equipment includes many vehicles sourced from local government and public authorities alongside agricultural and construction equipment.
Bus & Coach includes stock entered for the regular dedicated sales staged at BCA Belle Vue Manchester alongside any other minibus, welfare bus or commercial bus and coach product available in the BCA network.
Caravan and Motorhomes features the catalogue from BCA Measham's monthly specialist sale alongside other appropriate stock. Motorbikes features anything from powerful road machines to restricted mopeds.
Commercial Auction View is generating thousands of visits every day, with many end-users using the service to locate the vehicles they require.'
