THE new Jaguar X-type diesel has made its official used market debut at a sale staged at BCA Measham.

The Jaguar closed sale offered 94 cars – five of which were diesel – and attracted a crowd of almost 50 dealer representatives from all over the country.

A total of 93 cars were sold, generating a turnover of nearly £2.2 million and an average value of £23,600 – one of the highest-ever recorded for a manufacturer's sale in the UK, BCA claimed.

The five 2.0d Jaguar X-type SE diesel manuals were offered and sold, for an average price of £20,660, equivalent to 80% of current list price, including fitted options.

Overall, the sale averaged 104% of CAP clean, with some exceptional individual performances including 03-registered XJ8 4.2 V8 Supercharged that achieved 126% of CAP.
