Birthday celebrations for BCA

BCA Nottingham has celebrated its tenth birthday by breaking a number of records, including the most vehicles ever sold in one week and the most in one day.

A special sales programme throughout January and February, with a series of additional events, saw the centre sell 1,420 vehicles in a week and 529 vehicles in a day.

The centre also staged its annual birthday 'Autothon' sale, selling 300 cars direct from manufacturer sources.

Centre manager Robin Wilde said: 'We were delighted to celebrate a decade of excellence with our customers and staff at BCA Nottingham. The programme of special sales provided a great platform for our sellers and a first rate opportunity for our buyers.'

Volume and throughput at BCA Nottingham has more than trebled since it opened on January 16, 1994. Major fleet customers using the centre include BMW Group, VWFS, Audi UK, LeasePlan, Motability Operations, Reg Vardy Group, Vauxhall Motors and Ford Motor Company.

The auction centre has been upgraded with an extra 10-acre de-fleet centre, making it the third largest in Europe.
