Fleets warned of tracking claims

FLEETS are being warned about mobile tyre fitters claiming to provide wheel-tracking services at the side of the road.

AA Tyre Fit says it is impossible for tracking to be completed at the roadside and, if fast-fit companies claim to provide the service, they should be questioned.

David Goodyear, general manager at AA Tyre Fit, said: 'Ask them what equipment they used to complete the job and exactly how they did it. There should be some very interesting answers.

'If a fleet customer asks any of our fitters about the need for wheel alignment, we advise them to call in at the nearest AA Service Centre, which will be properly equipped to handle the job.'
