VAUXHALL'S new high-performance coupe (pictured) has arrived in the UK, promising more power per pound than any other car on the road.

Prices for the new Monaro, powered by a 5.7-litre V8 engine developing 329bhp and 343lb-ft, have been confirmed at £28,650 on-the-road.

It rides on 18-inch alloy wheels and standard equipment includes leather seats, cruise control, climate control, electric sunroof, automatic headlamps, trip computer and electrically-adjustable seats.
