AA Tyre Fit has launched a service to help fleet managers remind drivers when their tyres are likely to need replacing.

During a standard tyre inspection or when a new tyre is fitted, the fitter makes a note of the tread depth of the tyres. AA Tyre Fit then works out when each tyre is likely to be nearing the replacement tread depth, 2mm for most fleets, and calls the driver at the forecast time to check if a new tyre is required.
