TWO industry groups have teamed up to help fleets get to grips with health and safety regulations.

Cybit, a fleet management and telematics provider, and Lex Vehicle Leasing have launched an initiative based on the Health and Safety Executive's (HSE) work-related road safety guidance.

Lex is offering fleets a free pocket guide to the HSE guidance with advice on how to manage and monitor the fleet effectively.

The guide includes details of Cybit's online services which enable fleets to monitor drivers in terms of health and safety.

Jon Walden, managing director at Lex Vehicle Leasing, said: 'This increased focus on duty of care is supported by the results of our recent findings into the fleet market which concluded that health and safety issues are top of fleet managers' agenda for the coming year.

'By working with Cybit on this major initiative, we can help organisations to exercise their duty of care by measuring and monitoring the performance of their mobile workers against a strict risk assessment policy.'
