TWO major fleets have signed up LDV to supply their vehicles following reviews of their operations.

Sheffield-based home improvement company, Global Windows, has taken delivery of nine LDV Convoy 3.5 tonne hi-loaders from local dealership, Chatfields of Sheffield in a deal worth more than £150,000 at showroom prices.

Established five years ago, Global Windows specialises in double glazing and conservatories installations throughout South Yorkshire. The hi-loaders come complete with external glass rail, roof bars, interior ply lining and a side load door for easier access.

Russell Hulme, Global Windows' managing director said: 'The Convoy Hi-loader range suited our business needs – robust, economical to run and reliable. Chatfields' professionalism and exceptional service steered our decision to place the order with them.'

In a second deal, McDermott Construction has taken on four LDV Convoy 2.8-tonne panel vans worth more than £80,000 at showroom prices.

The vehicles have been specially built to include two rear triple seats, beacons, tow bar and interior ply-lining. They will be used within the company's operations area throughout Shropshire and were supplied by locally-based Greenhous LDV Van Centre.
