Scots firms chooses Lex for LDV van deal

A SCOTTISH-based manufacturing company has awarded a £250,000 deal to Lex Commercials following its satisfaction with its current Lex fleet.

Barr has ordered nine LDV Convoy 2.8 vans, four LDV Convoy crew-cab tippers and two LDV Convoy dropsides to boost its 60-strong fleet.

Brian Harrison, fleet manager at Barr, said: 'We've worked with Lex Commercials for many years and didn't have any hesitation in choosing the company as supplier once again.

'The LDV range will add to our fleet of 60 light commercial vehicles, which have proven to be extremely reliable and meet our business needs.

'The new vehicles will be used throughout Barr's operational divisions to transport materials and equipment locally and nationally.'

The vehicles include rear three-seater and side window conversions and have an additional door built on the rear driver's side for easier passenger access.
