RAV4s join East Midlands ambulance fleet

A YEAR-LONG trial has resulted in East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS) taking on six Toyota RAV4s to be used as part of its fleet of 40 fast response vehicles.

The service has a total fleet of almost 500 vehicles used by paramedics and this is the first time Toyotas have joined the line-up.

EMAS fleet manager Andrew Potter said: 'The vehicles will be deployed across the East Midlands area and used off-road in the Peak District, Sherwood Forest, at sports grounds and so on.'
