A COMPANY that manufacturers gas boilers has taken on four new Mercedes-Benz Vito vans and plans to replace its existing fleet over the next four years.

Kent-based Vaillant currently operates 72 first-generation Vitos, which have been joined by the four new Vito 109CDIs. Its service engineers will use the vehicles which are the first to sport Vaillant's new livery.

Vaillant facilities officer Richard Nicholls said: 'The last Vito was good but its replacement is a great deal better, especially from the driver's point of view.

'The cab has a much improved layout and is more comfortable, while the introduction of a long wheelbase option – the first-generation model was only available with a single wheelbase – is also a boon.'
