THE new Mini Convertible is set to become one of the UK's slowest depreciating cars, according to Glass's Information Services.

The company expects its trade value to be as much as 92% after 12 months/10,000-miles.

It means a £14,625 Mini Cooper Convertible will recover about £13,455 after a year.

Richard Crosthwaite, prestige car editor at Glass's, said: 'The new car is priced favourably against some of its key rivals, such as the Peugeot 206 CC and Ford StreetKa, and its desirability will build on the success and badge kudos of the hard-top version.

All this means that some traders will be willing to pay more than list price.'
