Lane warning

INFINITI, the luxury division of Nissan North America, has announced plans to launch a warning system to alert drivers if they move across traffic lanes.

The Lane Departure Warning (LDW) system to be launched this autumn in North America uses a small camera, speed sensor, indicator and buzzer, alerting drivers when they make an unintended movement from a designated traffic lane.

The Infiniti brand is being assessed for sale in Europe. Until then the system will be available on Infiniti's FX crossover SUV in the US.
