A MAJOR investment in web-based services and new technology has secured a fleet rental supplier a key new contract.

Fleet management group IFC has signed up Satellite Vehicle Rentals to provide its short-term vehicles partly because of the benefits of the new services.

Services will include web-based rental management services.

Under the deal, Satellite will provide IFCs customers with an estimated 4,000 vehicles each year in the initital 12-month contract.

IFC specialises in outsourced fleet management for some of Britain's biggest fleets, including Heinz UK and Jordan's Cereals.

Paul Talbot, managing director at IFC, said: 'This new relationship will give our customers greater flexibility in their short-term vehicle needs.

'We were particularly impressed with Satellite's web-based rental management system and their investment in new technology.'
