The latest appointments in the fleet industry.

  • INCHCAPE UK has appointed Peter Jones to the newly-created position of commercial director. Jones will report to Inchcape's managing director, Graeme Potts, and will be responsible for developing Inchcape's UK expansion.
    Jones was formerly chief executive officer at CD Bramall – he also has several years' industry experience.

  • RICHARD Wilman has been appointed new head of finance at Hitachi Capital Vehicle Solutions. Wilman has 17 years' accountancy experience with companies such as the Sears Group, Honeywell Bull and Waitrose. In his new role, Wilman will be responsible for implementing new systems and incorporating international accounting standards.

  • TELEMATICS provider the Toad Group has appointed two new area sales managers to promote the company's active tracking system Actra. Anthony Newman and Glen Joss have both joined the group bringing experience from the information technology and fleet sales sectors. Both roles will focus on promoting Actra to fleets across the UK.

  • PENDRAGON Contracts has made two new appointments. Dane Kaufman has been made sales director responsible for corporate sales, dealer/broker and Concepts, Pendragon's cash-for-car scheme. Kaufman brings more than 18 years' leasing industry experience, including five years as general manager of corporate accounts at First National Vehicle Contracts. Richard Turner has also joined Pendragon, as head of account management, bringing more than 20 years' experience.

  • ANTONIA Pickles has joined the board of Lex Vehicle Leasing in the new role of business development director. For the past two years, Pickles has run Lex's Six Sigma programme and will continue as a board member. Previous roles include operations accountant and finance manager at Lex Vehicle Partners. Ian Gibson has been appointed IT director, succeeding Simon Carter. Gibson originally joined Lex as general manager of business solutions.

  • VEHICLE solutions group Jet Logistics has appointed John Manners as IT director. Manners has worked in the fleet industry for the past six years and will be responsible for the IT development and strategy in his new role.

  • DAN Gursel has been appointed as Enterprise Rent-A-Car's new business development manager for the motor sales and servicing industry. He will be responsible for liaising with motor insurance manufacturers, dealerships and service providers in the aftermarket sector. Gursel joined Enterprise as a management trainee in 1997 progressing to area manager for Lincolnshire and Nottingham in 2001 before taking on his new role.
