Barchetta goes on sale in UK again

THE Barchetta sportscar is now available in the UK again and can be ordered through Fiat Auto's dealer network.

It is mechanically identical to the original model and still built in left-hand drive only.

Powered by Fiat Auto's 16-valve, twin overhead camshaft 1.8-litre VVT engine, it produces 130bhp, giving the vehicle a top speed of 124 mph, with 0-62mph acceleration in 8.9 seconds.

Standard equipment includes power steering, ABS anti-lock braking, driver and passenger airbags, CD player, central locking, foglights, electrically operated windows and door mirrors, leather steering wheel and gearknob and an electric aerial.

The car costs £11,995 on-the-road.
