PEUGEOT says it is converting interest into orders for the new 407 following the fleet manager 'drive-away' at Sunday Times Motor Show Live.

After a week's 'taster' of the new Peugeot 407, customers are already placing orders for the saloon, as well as pre-ordering the SW estate version due in September.

Tony Brady, fleet and travel manager at the IT services company Steria, is already a fan of the new 407.

He said: 'We are really impressed with the 407's stylish appearance and levels of driver comfort. It offers our staff excellent driveability as well as a safe driving experience.

Steve Harris, fleet and leasing director at Peugeot, said: 'The fleet drive-away from the motor show was a huge success and the number of orders and positive feedback is the best we could expect with any new model launch.

'We expect the 407 to be extremely popular with our fleet customers over the coming months and years because of its style, economy and price.'
