Electronic Stabilisation Programmes (ESP) reduce the risk of skidding by working with the anti-lock braking system to keep the car under control in a skid situation.
Robert Bosch, which supplies components and technology systems to the motor industry, is continuing a campaign promoting the benefits of ESP.
A spokesman at the group said: 'The ESP system further reduces the risk of skidding by applying the brakes selectively to individual wheels to stabilise the car and keep it on course.
'The on-going campaign has successfully completed its first stage by taking space in major newspapers and by promoting the benefits of ESP using simple adverts on the back of major bus fleets.'
