THE latest appointments in the fleet industry.

  • THE newest addition to the account management team at Tuskerdirect is Ian Grant, who has special responsibility for sub-100 fleets. Grant will take care of 40 different clients throughout the UK and will provide in-depth support around such key areas as credit lines and masterhire arrangements. He previously worked as a fleet assistant in the human resources department at one of Britain's biggest construction companies.

  • HELPHIRE has expanded into Newcastle, with a host of new jobs. At the same time, Rupert Llewellyn has been appointed managing director of Helphire Fleet Services. He will be responsible for overseeing Helphire's national network of branches and the purchase, maintenance and disposal of the 4,500-strong fleet. He joins the firm from Richard Lawson Autocare, where he was divisional managing director UK and head of Autocare Europe.

  • PETER Fairlie has been appointed strategic accounts director at Northgate. It is a newly-created role which will involve the development of existing business and new business for the Northgate Group. He brings a wealth of experience to the firm and formerly worked for Interleasing (UK).

  • THE corporate sales team at Zenith Vehicle Contracts has been expanded with the addition of John Ellis. He joins the team as head of new business (south) after nearly three years in a similar position at Godfrey Davis Contract Hire.

  • FLEET software provider cfc solutions has appointed two new additions to its telesales department. Kevin Thomas joins from Vodafone, where he worked in customer retention and sales. He holds a law degree, while Karl Tierney arrives from an insurance selling team. Meanwhile, Michelle Reynolds, who has worked for the company since 2001, has been promoted from account manager for leasing and rental to project manager for fleet and leasing. The new role will see Reynolds working on system modifications through to large-scale implementations.

  • AA Tyrefit has created a new position, that of a lead fitter, to go between the company's fitters and two regional managers. Twelve lead fitters have been appointed and their jobs will be to maintain firm focus on customer service standards and investigate new avenues of business at regional levels.

  • NEW sales and marketing director at Portfolio Europe is Neil Hodson. The new role will see Hodson lead the sales and marketing team in developing and launching new products. He joins from Experian Automotive.
