The latest appointments in the fleet industry.

  • RENAULT'S specialist light commercial vehicle (LCV) fleet team has appointed two new fleet account managers. David Jacobs joins from Renault Business Finance and will be responsible for fleet operations for Government, public sector and utilities. Jan Gerring joins from Toyota and will be responsible for the south-west and south Wales areas. Mark Lovett has also been promoted to national fleet sales manager. Formerly UK brand manager for LCVs, Lovett will head the nine-strong team.

  • LUXURY car franchise Lexus Worcester has appointed Charlotte Easter as corporate sales specialist. Easter, who joins from Lloyds TSB autolease, will be responsible in her new role for providing business customers with information on issues including tax advice, finance and leasing.
  • CHRIS Heeley has been appointed key account manager at Hitachi Capital Commercial Vehicle Services. Heeley has several years industry experience gained working with temperature- controlled vehicles in the food industry and in his new role will be responsible for working on existing accounts and developing new business.

  • WORLDWIDE Excellerated Leasing, parent company of Vanguard Car Rental (which owns National Car Rental), has appointed Charles Gurassa to its board of directors as non-executive chairman. Gurassa has more than 25 years' experience in the international corporate and leisure markets. His previous role was chief executive at Thomson Travel Group and prior to that spent 10 years at British Airways, where he was responsible for worldwide commercial operations.

  • OWEN Holbourn has joined driver training group Peak Performance as national accounts manager, reporting to sales director John Harrod. Holbourn joins from fleet management group Fleet Logistics, where he was management consultant. In his new role, he will be responsible for Peak's major corporate customers in the southern region and for developing new business.

  • MITSUBISHI Motors has appointed Tim Tozer as president and chief executive officer of Mitsubishi Motors Europe. Tozer has held several senior positions including roles at Mazda and Chrysler, where he was managing director. He joins Mitsubishi from Mondial Assistance, where he was automotive director. Tozer will be responsible for increasing the group's business across Europe and also moving Mitsubishi Motors Europe through its second stage of business turnaround.
