Engineers and managers at the soft drink giant carried out a three-month on-road trial of the Vauxhall Vivaro and Volkswagen Transporter before placing the order with Vauxhall.

The firm has ordered 250 new 2.5 DTi Vivaros, which will be delivered over the next 14 months, all with electric windows and mirrors, air conditioning and satellite navigation.

Tom Sayer, fleet manager at CCE, said: 'Styling and performance is becoming important for van drivers and our field engineering staff. The drivers liked the driving experience and comfort that the Vivaro offered, the lighter, more airy feel of the cab and the more modern up-to-date switchgear.'
