FLEETS are encouraged to start planning for Road Safety Week, which takes place later this year.

Co-ordinated by road safety charity Brake, it is designed to get organisations to spread key road safety messages.

The central theme of this year’s event between November 8 and 14 is drink-driving. Brake says drink-drive casualties have risen by a third over the past decade, from 15,590 in 1993 to 20,140 in 2002.
