Road warning

THE Highways Agency is using a new road messaging service to warn drivers about upcoming incidents.

Variable Message Signs (VMS) will alert drivers and warn them about driving conditions on the road ahead. Incidents and alternative routes will also be provided in a bid to improve safety. The VMS signs will be rolled out across the Highways Agency road network.
