SOMERSET police used a Honda NSX (pictured) to drive home its safety message at a recent car show. The NSX, liveried in police colours, drew unexpected attention with many spectators claiming they would stop immediately if it pursued them.

Lawrie Lewis, super-intendent at Avon and Somerset police, said: ‘The NSX was a real showstopper and a great asset to us in delivering our casualty and crime reduction messages.

‘I don’t think we could afford one on our regular fleet but if Honda lent us one then we would give it a loving home.’
