PSA PEUGEOT Citroen will unveil its new ‘stop/ start’ engine system this November, with the group claiming it can save 10% to 20% on fuel costs.
The engine is auto-matically switched off when the vehicle is stationary. Once the brake pedal is released, the engine automatically re-starts. The Citroen C3 1.4i 16v will be the first vehicle to have the new engine which is part of the firm’s strategy to combat greenhouse gases.
