Audi has unveiled the next-generation Q3, which is set to go on sale next month.
The heavily revised model will arrive in the UK in late summer, with a selection of petrol, diesel and plug-in hybrid powertrains.
It uses the same platform as the existing Q3 - shared with the A3 - but adopts Audi's new styling language, aligning it more closely with the brand's electric models.
As such, it has a more muscular appearance, flush fit door handles and an illuminated rear Audi logo.
Prices will start at £38,300, while the eHybrid model (available from August) will cost from £45,800.
The new Q3 is more technologically advanced than its predecessor and borrows tech from further up the Audi range. Some of the highlights include digital LED matrix headlights, an Android-based infotainment system and Emergency Assistant, which can take over command of the vehicle if the driver no longer reacts.
Audi's latest interior architecture brings a combined infotainment and instrument cluster display that surrounds the driver. It incorporates a 12.8-inch MMI touchscreen and an 11.9-inch virtual cockpit display. Most controls are integrated into the system, reducing the amount of physical switchgear.
Audi claims the new layout improves interior space. The centre console now provides more storage as the gear selector has moved to the steering column. Boot volume measures 488 litres with the rear seats in place and 1,386 litres with them folded.
The Q3's powertrain line-up starts with a 150PS mild-hybrid petrol engine. There are also two all-wheel-drive petrol derivatives with 204PS and 265PS.
A single diesel model is also available, with 150PS.
The eHybrid plug-in hybrid is more suited to fleet customers. It has a power output of 272PS and utilises a 19.7kWh (useable) battery pack. The zero emission range of the eHybrid is 72 miles.
Three trim levels are offered: Sport, S Line and Edition 1.
Sport models get 18-inch wheels, cloth upholstery, heated front seats, adaptative cruise control and comfort suspension.
The S Line has 19-inch wheels, sportier styling, leather upholstery and tinted rear windows.
Range-topping Edition 1 adds 20-inch wheels, sport suspension, progressive steering and a heated steering wheel.
Audi is yet to confirm the CO2 emissions and fuel economy data for UK-bound Q3s. These will be published when the car goes on sale in July.
