Jaecoo has confirmed pricing for its second model to launch in the UK: a compact SUV called the Jaecoo 5.
The newcomer is set to go on sale in late summer with the choice of a petrol or electric powertrain.
Prices start at £24,505 for the Jaecoo 5 petrol. Details of the electric model are yet to be confimed.
The car shares a platform with the Omoda 5 and uses the same 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine with 147PS. Electric versions are expected to use the same powertrain as the Omoda E5.
Sitting beneath the existing Jaecoo 7, the Jaecoo 5 adopts the same boxy styling. It will compete with models like the Ford Puma and Hyundai Kona.
The entry-level Pure version features automatic halogen headlights, a six-speaker Sony audio system, six-way manually adjustable front seats, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There is also a 13.2-inch central infotainment touchscreen and a 540-degree parking camera system.
The Luxury trim is priced from £28,000 and brings an eight-speaker Sony audio system, power-adjustable heated and ventilated front seats, cooled wireless phone charging and a sunroof.
