Kia has released UK pricing and specifications for its EV4 Fastback, a four-door saloon sibling to the EV4 hatchback.
The EV4 Fastback – Kia’s first fully-electric saloon - starts from £40,895 on-the-road, offers a range of up to 380 miles and is available exclusively in GT-Line and GT-Line S trims.
The Fastback is 300mm longer and 5mm lower than the EV4 hatchback, with the extra length coming from the increased rear overhang to accommodate the new bodystyle.
The front-wheel drive models are powered by a single front-mounted 204PS motor and are capable of accelerating from 0-62mph in 7.9 seconds.
Kia’s 400V technology means the EV4 Fastback can charge from 10% to 80% in 29 minutes when plugged into a 350kW DC fast charger, and from empty to full in seven-and-a-quarter hours from an 11kW AC charger.
Standard equipment on GT-Line includes a three-screen dashboard layout (12.3-inch driver display, 5.3-inch climate control touchscreen and 12.3-inch touchscreen navigation system), wireless Apply CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, front and rear parking sensors with reversing camera, automatic flush door handles, two-tone artificial leather upholstery, wireless mobile phone charger and digital key.
GT-Line S trim level (from £45,395 OTR) adds extra standard equipment, including a wide front sunroof with tilting/sliding function, heated outer rear seats, heated and ventilated front seats, front premium relaxation seats, smart power tailgate, an interior three-pin plug socket, vehicle-to-load capability with adapter, eight-speaker Harman Kardon premium sound system, remote smart parking assist, and blind-spot view mirror and 360-degree surround view monitor.
Order books for the EV4 and EV4 Fastback are open, with customer deliveries beginning in autumn.
EV4 marks the latest step in Kia’s Plan S business strategy, which will see 15 EVs launched by Kia globally by 2030; nine of which are destined for the UK.
