Vauxhall has expanded the Frontera Electric line-up with a new Extended Range model.
Thanks to a larger battery, with a capactiy of 54kWh, the new model offers a 253-mile range.
Prices for the Extended Range version start at £27,495, in entry-level Design trim. A higher-spec GS version is available for £29,895.
The Frontera Electric Extended Range uses the same 113PS electric motor as the standard Frontera Electric, providing a 0-62mph time of 13 seconds and an 88mph top speed.
With 100kW DC charging capability, a 20-80% charge can be completed in around 28 minutes. An 11kW on-board charger is fitted as standard, enabling a 20-80% charge in 3 hours 25 minutes from an 11kW AC public charge point. A 20-80% charge from a 7kW home wallbox takes 5 hours 5 minutes.
The new Extended Range version joins the existing Frontera Electric, with a 44kWh battery and 186-mile range, and the Frontera Hybrid.
