THE UK managing director of car rental giant Avis has announced he is leaving the company at the end of the year.

Michael White has worked for the company for 21 years, the last three as MD. Avis Europe recently announced a pre-tax profits drop from €15.3 to €10.6 million, on turnover up 3% to €548. (Fleet NewsNet, September 16).
