RENAULT'S budget Logan is to go on sale across most of Western Europe from the middle of next year.

The car has just gone on sale in Romania, where summer pre-sale orders totalled 11,000 units. It will be distributed under the Dacia brand by the Renault network in most European countries A Renault spokesman said: 'The versions featuring equipment levels in line with Western European market expectations have been chosen. The selling prices, to be determined in 2005, are expected to start at €7,500 and will vary depending on each country's local tax levels. Logan will be the most competitive offering on these markets.'

The Logan will be launched in central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and North Africa between now and the end of next year and in Turkey in November 2004. It will go on sale outside Western Europe in a total of 35 countries.
