A SCOTTISH-based fleet management group is moving south of the border as part of a major expansion drive.

Ogilvie Fleet is planning to double its fleet size during the next five years and hopes a push into England will help achieve it.

David Snarr, business development manager at Ogilvie Fleet, said: ‘Ogilvie has built the existing business over 20 years through providing services to small and medium-sized companies.

‘We anticipate that our increased presence in England will allow us to establish an even closer relationship with our existing clients and provide an unrivalled service to our new customers.’

Currently 40% of Ogilvie’s fleet business is based in England but the group is hoping to increase this to 70% by the end of 2008.

Gordon Stephen, managing director at Ogilvie Fleet, added: ‘We have seen the fleet market restructure extensively in recent years, with the very large operators at one end of the scale and with increasing numbers of medium-sized operators being bought by finance companies and motor groups.’
