RAC phone plan

MOTORIST organisation RAC has announced a venture with a company that provides a system allowing location of drivers by mobile phone.

The system, supplied by VeriLocation, aims to help the company find motorists who have broken down in unfamiliar areas.

The RAC said 50% of breakdown calls were made via a mobile phone, with many people not knowing their location.
