Fiat head moves

MANAGING director Assimo Toso has left Fiat Auto UK to assume other responsibilities at headquarters in Turin and Andrew Lester, country manager of Alfa Romeo UK, has left the company to pursue other opportunities.

José Antonio Garvía has been appointed market general manager of Fiat Auto UK, and takes up his responsibilities from 31 January 2005. He joins the company from Fiat Auto España in Madrid, where he was in charge of the Alfa Romeo brand.

Garvía’s role will initially involve the country manager’s responsibilities for both Fiat and Alfa Romeo brands.
