GM gets closer

GENERAL Motors’ operations in the UK and Ireland are to work more closely together.

Bill Parfitt will be director of sales, marketing and aftersales for the UK and Ireland, and continue at the head of Vauxhall’s sales, marketing and aftersales division in the UK. Dave Sheeran is managing director of Opel Ireland and reports directly to Parfitt.

Andy Carroll, managing director for Chevrolet UK (formerly GM Daewoo) will also report to Parfitt. Jonathan Nash, managing director of Saab in the UK, also reports to Parfitt, and will now take responsibility for the Saab importer into Ireland.

In addition, Parfitt is director for GM Europe fleet operations.
