THE latest appointments in the fleet industry.

  • FORMER AA Tyre Fit general manager David Goodyear is the new managing director of Farmer Autocare, the fast-fit brand established by Kwik-Fit founder Sir Tom Farmer. Goodyear will have day-to-day control of Farmer Autocare, which currently has 10 outlets in Scotland. Goodyear was a senior manager at Kwik-Fit for 10 years before establishing the mobile TyreServe chain bought by the AA in 2002 and renamed AA Tyre Fit. One of his main respon-sibilities is assessing candidates to take on the franchise. Goodyear said: ‘Sir Tom really wants to take a back seat from Farmer Autocare – he has several other interests including property.

    ‘He’s asked me to manage and develop the business, whether that’s 20 or 200 outlets. He will be available to offer his advice whenever that is required.’

  • VEHICLE body building group JC Payne has appointed Kevin Murphy as customer account manager responsible for strengthening the group’s customer service offering. Murphy brings several years of bodybuilding and contract hire experience to the group.

  • SIMON Jones has joined web services group NetDespatch as national accounts manager responsible for developing UK business with the group’s express delivery clients. Prior to joining NetDespatch, Jones handled business development at monster.co.uk He also brings several years’ experience gained at ITW, an industrial packaging group, where he was UK sales manager.

  • THE Royal Bank of Scotland has made three appointments to its car division. Tom Booth joins as managing director for retail, Saul Parsonson joins as managing director for corporate and Neil Addley as marketing director. Previously operations director, Booth will be responsible for the delivery of sales and aftesales for the dealership network.

    Parsonson will oversee all business to business sales channels across the division and Addley will provide marketing leadership to the division’s retail, business to business, aftersales and internal sales channels.

  • SUE MacNicol has joined Network Automotive as operations manager. She joins from the fleet department at Pitney Bowes and has extensive experience in the fleet industry managing fleets of up to 10,000 vehicles. She will be responsible for managing major accounts, overseeing fleet marketing, field sales appointments and demonstrator fleet bookings.
