Battery power

A NEW battery-powered van has been launched, targeting the urban delivery market.

Smith Electric Vehicles claims Faraday, a zero-emission van, will compete with traditional diesel engine vans in city centres. Faraday has a restricted top speed of 40mph, a 2.5- tonne payload and enough battery power to travel up to 60 miles between charges.
