EUROPCAR has announced growth following an investment in a larger workforce and a new sales strategy.

The rental company increased its now 40-strong salesforce by 100% in 2005, including the appointments of ten regional sales executives, two national account managers, three sales manager, four telesales specialists and a training and development manager.

These have led to 500 new first-time customers.

Mark Brooker, sales and marketing director at Europcar, said: ‘Europcar has invested heavily in people and processes over the past 12 months, and with focus on reward and recognition plans, combined with training and development, our strategy is now bearing fruit.’
