PEUGEOT is offering free Trafficmaster Smartnav satellite navigation to fleet drivers opting for a 407 saloon or SW.

The offer is available at no extra cost on all Peugeot 407 Saloon and SW models (except for some daily rental cars) registered on or before March 31, 2006.

The manufacturer announced the offer following a survey which showed satellite navigation as the most requested option on company cars.

In the survey commissioned by Peugeot and completed by Fleet News readers, 37% of respondents opted for satellite navigation over and above 19 other options. Metallic paint and air-conditioning only generated 9% and 6% of votes respectively.

The Smartnav system offered by Peugeot is worth £1,200 and the group is hoping it will alleviate some of the stress for company car drivers on long journeys or trying to find destinations.

As part of the deal, Peugeot is also offering three months’ subscription to Safe Speed, an accident blackspot warning service.
