ONE of the UK’s best-known retailers has revamped its fleet and slashed the number of suppliers.

Boots operates an 800-strong user-chooser fleet and has chosen Vauxhall as sole supplier to its 250-strong essential car user fleet.

The company will offer those drivers diesel models from across the range from Corsa to Zafira.

For the first time, Vauxhall is also introducing a planned fleet maintenance package that underwrites all servicing, maintenance and repair costs to provide Boots, the manufacturers says, with known SMR costs over the three-year contract. Its new policy has been launched in conjunction with leasing and fleet management company, GE Commercial Finance, Fleet Services.

Sarah Hall, contracts manager, business services at Boots, said: ‘We wanted a range of vehicles for our essential user fleet which met our criteria of driver desirability, safety and competitive but with fixed maintenance costs.’
