Web watch: we review what’s hot on the net.

GLASGOW-based First Vehicle Leasing, a provider of transport solutions for fleets and private individuals, has recently launched its new website.

The standard left-hand side links are here, along with a top menu that easily navigates you around the site.

The main feature on the homepage is the ‘Deal of the Day’. There is also a ‘special offers’ section, which shows a table including pictures and information on deals.

The 5,000 web pages are packed with stats, pictures and quotes for just about any make and model you can think of and the site features an instant online quote generator, a search by price facility and an online showroom.

There are three functions featured at the bottom of the homepage, which will take you directly to specific data.

The instant online quote generator can be used by selecting different options from drop-down boxes.

It is a quick way of finding the exact information you need.

The ‘search by price’ option provides information for those people who know how much money they have to spend but aren’t sure which model to choose from.

The free call-back service allows users to speak to another person about leasing queries by booking a suitable call time – this is an excellent feature bridging the gap between the typically impersonal internet and the human touch. Once you have found the right car, you can fill out an online form and specify whether to be contacted by email or telephone for further information.

The ‘funding options’ section offers information about the different ways you can approach your car lease.

Each option comes with a description, along with the advantages and disadvantages of that particular leasing type.

The lowdown

The site: www.firstvehicleleasing.co.uk

We like: Solid design with quick methods to get to want you want

We don’t like: The online quote system not working let the site down
