Show debut for Lexus engine

LEXUS’s first diesel engine, a 2.2-litre 175bhp, was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show this week in the Lexus IS.

It is backed by a 2.5-litre V6 petrol version which will also come with an optional paddle-shift gear change. Petrol versions will be on sale in Europe at the end of 2005 with the diesel following in 2006.
