Nissan Patrols join the Red Cross fleet

THE Somerset-based branch of the Red Cross has taken delivery of two Nissan Patrols (above) to use in emergencies at local events.

The new vehicles will also be used at events such as rallies, pop festivals and motorbike scrambles.

A Red Cross spokesman said: ‘The Nissan Patrol 4x4 vehicles are ideal for our use for two reasons. Firstly, they can cope with difficult driving conditions and secondly, they allow easy access for stretchers, making it safer for our operatives to manoeuvre patients in and out of the vehicles.’
