THE latest Euro NCAP crash test results have awarded two four-star and one five-star award for occupant protection ratings.

From three models tested, the Honda FR-V and the Suzuki Swift both achieved four stars, with the new Peugeot 1007 supermini gaining five stars.

Christopher Macgowan, chief executive at the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders, said: ‘These results demonstrate the industry-wide commitment to improving new car safety.

Better NCAP results show that the newest models have been designed to limit the effect of an accident on drivers, their passengers and pedestrians.’
