• Volkswagen is planning an extended chassis version of the Transporter for use with specialist conversions.

  • Piaggio used the show to launch the environmentally-friendly Electric Porter. Based on 10 years’ research, testing and daily-use experience in Italy, the latest Electric Porter range is powered by a 10.5kw electric motor and a quad-pack 96-volt rechargeable lead-gel battery pack, to offer customers speeds up to 35mph, range up to 85 miles and a payload capacity of 470kg to 560kg.
The Electric Porter (pictured) is available in five versions – panel van, glass van, pickup, tipper and big-deck, with prices starting from £15,500, ex-VAT. All models are zero-emission vehicles and are exempted from both road fund licence and the London congestion charge.
