BCA Europe has consolidated its position as the largest auction company in Europe with the opening of its second site in Spain following a multi-million pound investment. The 20-acre site on the outskirts of Seville is the largest BCA site in mainland Europe.

BCA Seville is a state-of-the art remarketing centre, with inspection, valeting, smart repair and storage facilities. There is undercover viewing and two auction halls, where more than 100 buyers attended the opening day, with more than 140 cars sold.

The opening is part of a development programme that also saw BCA's Madrid auction site expanded to 13 acres.

BCA, which has further plans for expansion, already sells more than 1.3 million vehicles a year through 40 remarketing centres in 11 countries, giving it a turnover of more than £3 billion. This year, the firm announced expansion in Sweden, where it launched in partnership with LeasePlan Sweden. BCA collects cars from leasing customers and delivers them to one of two logistics centres where they are inspected, prepared and refurbished to retail standard. They are then photographed and remarketed through LeasePlan's CarNext Direct website, which BCA operates.

The remarketing firm has grown from one location in mainland Europe in 1989 to 18 in 10 countries today, as well as 22 in the UK.
