AN environmentally-friendly fleet that deals with advertising and sponsorship on buses and trains has awarded a deal to Fleet Alliance.

The new deal will cover the group’s 250-strong fleet, which mainly runs on diesel and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).

Karen Gilbert, UK facilities manager at Viacom Outdoor, said: ‘As a company we obviously wanted to save money, but not at the users’ expense. The vehicle choices had to continue to be a motivating factor. The new relationship with Fleet Alliance has allowed us to achieve that objective.’

Viacom Outdoor operates about 125 cars for sales staff, mainly Volkswagen Golf TDIs and Passat TDIs. The rest of the fleet are vans used for bill posting and delivery personnel.
