Five-star NCAP crash rating for new Lexus GS

THE new Lexus GS has been awarded five stars in the latest EuroNCAP crash tests for occupant protection.

The GS achieves the maximum score for side impact, and 15 out of 16 points for the frontal impact test. It also gained two stars for pedestrian protection and four stars for child protection.

Karl Schlicht, vice-president of Lexus Europe, said: ‘The GS has been created with the express aim of achieving maximum safety. Our target was not only to protect the cabin occupant when an accident occurs, but also to develop innovative accident avoidance systems.’
