LEASING company Velo is set to expand its business in the Irish Republic. The company has formed an association with Dublin-based Haines Fleet Management and the company will trade as Velo Ireland.

Velo chairman and chief executive Nigel Stephens said: ‘We have a growing number of customers operating vehicles in Ireland and being actively positioned there means we will be able to provide even greater support to their drivers.

‘Also, it allows those customers who, in the past, may have elected to make separate arrangements to now consolidate all of their activities with VELO. The second consideration is the Irish economy, one of the healthiest in Europe over the last 10 years, and the opportunities to bring Velo’s resources, expertise and experience to both local businesses and multi-national organisations running fleets there.’
